Bluetooth was working normally before a Windows Update, but disappeared afterward. This is different from a hardware failure — in most cases the Bluetooth adapter is still present, but the driver is incompatible with the new Windows version.

This issue has been reported across multiple GEEKOM models including AS6, A5, A8, and A9 Max.
Step 1: Identify the problematic Windows Update
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → Update history.
- Note the most recent update KB number and installation date.
- Check whether Bluetooth stopped working around that date — this confirms the update is the likely cause.
Step 2: Roll back the Windows Update
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → Update history → Uninstall updates.
- Find the most recent update → click Uninstall.
- Restart your PC and check whether Bluetooth has returned.
Note: Windows may reinstall the update automatically. If that happens, proceed to Step 4 to pause updates temporarily.
Step 3: Manually reinstall the Bluetooth driver using the .inf file
Important: Do not double-click the .inf file — this does not install the driver correctly.
- Download the official Bluetooth driver for your model from service.geekompc.com.
- Open Device Manager → View → Show hidden devices.
- Find the Bluetooth adapter (it may appear as an Unknown device under "Other devices").
- Right-click it → Update driver → Browse my computer for drivers → Let me pick from a list → Have Disk.
- Browse to the downloaded driver folder → select the .inf file → click OK.
- Restart your PC and check whether Bluetooth has returned.
Tip: If the adapter is not visible even with hidden devices shown, restart the PC and immediately open Device Manager before Windows finishes loading.
Step 4: Pause Windows automatic updates temporarily
- Go to Settings → Windows Update → Advanced options → Pause updates.
- Pause updates for up to 5 weeks.
This prevents Windows from automatically reinstalling the problematic update while you wait for a compatible driver to be released.
Step 5: Update BIOS
In some cases, a BIOS update improves hardware compatibility with newer Windows versions and can restore Bluetooth recognition.
- Visit service.geekompc.com, select your product model, and download the latest BIOS file.
- Follow the BIOS update tutorial: https://service.geekompc.com/faq/update-bios-ec/
Warning: Do not interrupt the BIOS update once it has started. Ensure your device is connected to a stable power source throughout the process.
Final Recommendation
If Bluetooth does not return after completing all steps, contact GEEKOM Customer Service and provide the following information:
- Product model and serial number
- Windows version (Settings → System → About)
- KB number of the update installed before the issue started
