How to manually select the target hard drive during OS installation

The customer has an A9 MAX HX470. They downloaded Windows 11 from the download center, copied the files to a USB flash drive and renamed it WINPE. Both internal drives are empty; one was formatted to ext4 and the other to NTFS. The smaller drive was formatted as FAT32, and the larger 2TB drive was formatted as NTFS. The customer would like to know how to select the larger NTFS drive for installation.

The current OS installer is designed for the product’s default single-disk configuration, so it does not display a drive selection screen. The installation script is encrypted, and there is no way to change the OS installation location by modifying the script for now.

The simplest workaround available:

1. Back up all important data in advance.
2. Fully shut down the computer and disconnect the power supply.
3. Remove the hard drive that you do not want to install the OS on, leaving only your target drive installed.
4. Run the OS installer and install Windows onto this drive.
5. Once installation completes and the system boots successfully, power off and reconnect the second hard drive.
