Section 1: How many monitors can I connect?
Most GEEKOM Mini PCs support 2 to 4 simultaneous displays, depending on the model. Display output is provided via a combination of HDMI, DisplayPort, USB-C (with DisplayPort Alt Mode), and Thunderbolt ports.
| Series | Max displays | Output ports |
|---|---|---|
| IT15, IT13 MAX | 4 | 2× HDMI 2.0, 2× USB4/Thunderbolt (DP Alt) |
| GT1 Mega AI | 4 | 2× HDMI 2.0, 2× USB4 (DP Alt) |
| A8 Max, A9 Max | 4 | 2× HDMI 2.0, 2× USB-C (DP Alt) |
| A6, A7 Max | 3 | 2× HDMI 2.0, 1× USB-C (DP Alt) |
| A5, Mini IT11 | 3 | 2× HDMI 2.0, 1× USB-C (DP Alt) |
| Mini Air12 | 2 | 1× HDMI 2.0, 1× USB-C (DP Alt) |
Note: Always verify the exact port configuration for your specific model on service.geekompc.com. USB-C display output requires a monitor or adapter that supports DisplayPort Alt Mode.
Section 2: Does it support an eGPU?
eGPU (external GPU) support depends on whether the model has a Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 port, which provides the bandwidth required for an eGPU enclosure.
- Supports eGPU: IT15, IT13 MAX, GT1 Mega AI (USB4 / Thunderbolt 4 port)
- Limited or no eGPU support: A5, A6, Mini Air12 (USB-C with DP Alt Mode only, insufficient bandwidth for eGPU)
For eGPU use, connect the enclosure to the USB4/Thunderbolt port and install the GPU drivers after connection. Performance will be lower than a native PCIe slot due to bandwidth limitations.
Section 3: Does it work with Linux?
GEEKOM Mini PCs are primarily designed and tested for Windows. Linux compatibility varies by distribution and kernel version.
- Generally compatible: Ubuntu 22.04 LTS and later, Linux Mint 21+, Fedora 38+
- Known issues: Bluetooth and Wi-Fi drivers may require manual installation on some models (see GK-BT-04: Bluetooth not working under Linux)
- Not officially supported: GEEKOM does not provide Linux drivers or Linux-specific technical support
For Linux-specific model recommendations, see the Linux System section in our Shopping Guide.
Section 4: Can I power it via USB-C?
USB-C power delivery (PD) support varies by model.
- Supports USB-C PD charging: Some models with USB4/Thunderbolt ports support being powered via USB-C PD (65W–100W). Check your model's spec page for "USB-C Power Delivery" or "PD charging" in the port specifications.
- Most models require the included DC barrel adapter for primary power. USB-C PD is a secondary option on supported models only.
Important: Using an underpowered USB-C charger (below the required wattage) may cause the device to run slowly or fail to start. Always check the required wattage before using a third-party charger.
Section 5: Can I upgrade the RAM and SSD?
Yes — RAM and SSD upgrades do not void the GEEKOM 3-year warranty.

Section 6: Does it support Windows 11?
Yes. All current GEEKOM Mini PCs ship with Windows 11 Pro pre-installed and activated. They meet all Windows 11 hardware requirements including TPM 2.0 and Secure Boot.
Older models (Mini IT8, IT9, IT10) shipped with Windows 10 and may not support the Windows 11 upgrade due to processor generation limitations. Check the Microsoft Windows 11 compatibility page for your specific processor if you own an older model.
Section 7: Is it compatible with my TV or projector?
Yes — GEEKOM Mini PCs connect to any TV or projector with an HDMI input using a standard HDMI cable. All models include at least one HDMI 2.0 port supporting up to 4K@60Hz output.
For projectors or displays without HDMI, use the appropriate adapter:
- HDMI to VGA (for older projectors)
- USB-C to HDMI or DisplayPort (using the USB-C port)
Audio is transmitted via HDMI. For separate audio output, use the 3.5mm audio jack or Bluetooth.
Section 8: Does it work in my country (voltage and plug)?
GEEKOM power adapters support universal voltage (100–240V, 50/60Hz), making them compatible with electrical systems worldwide.
The included power cable plug type varies by shipping region. If the plug type does not match your local outlet, use a standard plug adapter — the adapter itself is universal voltage and does not need to be replaced.
If you need a specific plug type, contact GEEKOM Customer Service when placing your order.
