RAM
Q1. What brand of RAM/SSD comes pre-installed in GEEKOM devices?
Commonly used RAM brands for GEEKOM products include Kingston, Crucial, Wodposit, and Lexar.
Q2. Will the RAM models differ between batches of the same GEEKOM product model?
Yes, they may differ. To ensure stable performance, safety, and in response to hardware market price fluctuations, GEEKOM does not consistently use the exact same component models in its devices. However, we strive to ensure that the performance of the components used remains similar.
Q3. What memory specifications are supported by GEEKOM products?
Type: Depending on the CPU model and brand, the primary memory types supported by GEEKOM products are SODIMM DDR4 and DDR5. Currently, LPDDR5 is used only in laptop-style products.
Capacity: Most GEEKOM products support 64GB or higher memory capacity. Some products are limited by their CPU's capabilities and cannot be expanded to this capacity. Please verify the maximum memory capacity supported by your specific CPU before purchasing.
Frequency: The maximum supported memory frequency varies depending on the CPU and memory type. If a memory module's maximum frequency exceeds the CPU's supported limit, the GEEKOM device will still operate normally, but the memory frequency will be limited to the maximum frequency supported by the CPU. For example, the AMD Ryzen™ 7 6800H supports a maximum of DDR5 4800MHz. If you install a 5600MHz module, the maximum frequency shown in Task Manager will still be 4800MHz.
Q4. Does GEEKOM support mixed memory configurations (mixing RAM modules)?
Yes. For instance, if the device comes with a 16GB module, you can add an 8GB or 32GB module. However, to minimize compatibility issues, it is recommended to use modules of the same brand and frequency whenever possible.
Q5. Do GEEKOM products support dual-channel memory?
Except for a few models limited by their CPU, most GEEKOM products support dual-channel memory, as the motherboard features two RAM slots. Due to current memory market conditions, some newly produced GEEKOM devices may come with only one RAM module installed. Adding a second module is required to enable the dual-channel function.
SSD
Q1. What brand of SSD comes pre-installed in GEEKOM devices?
Commonly used SSD brands for GEEKOM products include Kingston, Crucial, Wodposit, and Lexar.
Q2. What specifications does the factory-installed SSD in GEEKOM products have?
The specifications vary by product model. For specific details, please refer to the SSD specifications published on the product purchase page. Commonly used specifications include SATA, M.2 NVMe PCIe 3.0, and M.2 NVMe PCIe 4.0.
Q3. Do GEEKOM products support dual SSDs?
Yes, but support varies by product line and is categorized by CPU brand:
- Most GEEKOM Intel-series products support multiple SSDs. For example, the IT13 and IT15 models support up to three SSDs, while the GT1 Mega and GT2 Mega models support up to two SSDs.
- For the AMD series, support is influenced by CPU configuration. The A5 model supports up to three SSDs, while the A6 and A9 Max models support up to two SSDs.
Q4. What is the maximum SSD capacity supported by GEEKOM products?
All GEEKOM devices have been tested with 2TB M.2 SSDs and confirmed to work properly. There is no defined upper limit for SSD capacity in theory; the devices should support 4TB or even 8TB SSDs. However, higher-capacity SSDs may be more prone to compatibility issues. Therefore, we recommend choosing SSDs from reputable brands.
Network Adapter
Q1. What network adapter does GEEKOM use in its devices?
The network adapter varies by product model. Devices with AMD CPUs exclusively support MediaTek adapters, while devices with Intel CPUs are compatible with both MediaTek and Intel adapters.
Currently, most GEEKOM devices are equipped with the MediaTek Wi-Fi 6E adapter (MediaTek 7921). Some high-end models feature either the Intel Wi-Fi 7 adapter (BE200) or the MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 adapter (MediaTek 7925).
HDMI Cable
Q1. What is the specification of the HDMI cable included in the color box?
HDMI2.0,HDMI Male to Male Cable, Length = 1m, Outer Diameter = 5.5mm
Adapter Specifications
Q1. What are the specifications of the adapter included in the color box?
The power adapter included with GEEKOM devices primarily supports 120W output and is compatible with most models. Some higher-performance devices are equipped with a 330W adapter. All adapters are designed to ensure stable device operation, have passed multiple safety certifications, and comply with the safety standards of their respective sales regions.
Q2. Can the adapter be used in other countries when traveling?
Yes. The standard GEEKOM adapter supports international wide-range voltage (100V-240V). You only need to use an appropriate power plug adapter for your destination country to ensure normal operation.
Q3. Can I use a PD adapter to power my GEEKOM device?
Yes. Laptop models are fully compatible. For mini PCs, only specific models support this feature. To confirm compatibility, check the USB-C port on the rear of your device. If it is marked with a "power plug" symbol (as shown in the image below), it supports 100W (20V/5A) PD power delivery.
VESA
Q1. What are the specifications for the VESA mount and included screws?
