The A9 Max encounters BIOS issues right from the first boot. It has an unusually long boot time, suffers frequent black screens during Windows installation, and restarts very slowly. The device froze while attempting a BIOS update. After rebooting, it only shows the "American Megatrends" logo and cannot boot into the system.
If there is still display output upon powering on, this unit may still be recoverable.
The BIOS is currently corrupted. This boot logo is not our brand logo; it is the native BIOS logo.
Keep attempting to enter the BIOS menu. Continuously press DEL or ESC on startup. Please confirm: Is it possible to access the BIOS menu?
- If accessible: Use the A9 Max BIOS USB update file to flash the BIOS via USB to reset and restore it.
- If the BIOS menu cannot be entered: The unit cannot be repaired and requires a replacement.
One note to clarify: When a new PC connects to the internet for the first time, it will automatically download and install new system patches and drivers. Therefore, automatic restarts and slow boot speeds on a brand-new machine are normal, most likely caused by background system updates.
Typically, performance will stabilize after one or two days of connected use.
