When I attempted to log in, Windows prompted: “Something went wrong, your PIN isn’t available.” I reset the PIN and then successfully logged in. A few days later, the same issue reoccurred, and I applied the same fix. After another few days, the system showed the message “Something went wrong, your PIN isn’t available (Error code: 0x80280101)”. I reset the PIN again and was able to sign in.
This issue can be resolved by switching to a different network and setting a new PIN. It may be a Windows system bug. We recommend that the customer, with stable network access, go to system settings to create a new PIN instead of setting it from the lock screen.
