Connect the device to the Apple Thunderbolt Display

I have received the Geekom A6 and connected it to the Apple Thunderbolt Display using a compatible adapter, but it does not work properly. This Apple Thunderbolt 2 to USB‑C adapter functions correctly when used with an Intel NUC mini PC.

The Apple Thunderbolt Display uses the Thunderbolt protocol, not a standard Mini DisplayPort monitor. Apple officially states that this adapter requires a host USB‑C port with Thunderbolt 3 support. While both USB‑C ports on the A6 support DP 1.4 video output, the Apple Thunderbolt Display requires the host to establish a full Thunderbolt connection and cannot operate solely on DP signals.

Therefore, the no-display issue is caused by incompatibility between the display interfaces. The Intel NUC works mainly because its Thunderbolt controller supports legacy Thunderbolt devices.
