The following potential causes are currently under consideration:
Unstable power supply from the power adapter:
Aging, internal faults or insufficient output power of the adapter may cause the device to suddenly power off under increased load. Notably, if the adapter must be unplugged and re-plugged after shutdown for the device to restart, this strongly suggests the adapter has triggered its protection mechanism. Verification method: Replace the power adapter.
Unstable power supply from the wall socket or power strip:
Poor contact in the power strip, connection of high-power devices on the same outlet, or local voltage fluctuations can also lead to instantaneous power loss. Verification method: Stop using the power strip temporarily. Plug the original adapter directly into a wall socket and monitor the device for several days.
Abnormal temperature:
If the customer has modified performance or power consumption settings, the instantaneous power draw of the machine under heavy load may rise, triggering overload protection on the existing adapter.
• Verification method: Observe whether the device shuts down during idle state, regular use and heavy load respectively. If the issue only occurs under heavy load, pay closer attention to adapter power rating, temperature and mainboard power supply.
• Check CPU temperature and fan operation to rule out shutdown caused by overheating protection.
Internal power supply failure of the device
If unexpected power cuts persist after adapter replacement and external power supply troubleshooting, hardware faults such as defective power supply circuits on the mainboard should be considered. • If the machine still suffers unannounced power loss after adapter replacement, direct wall-socket connection and restoring BIOS default settings, external power supply issues can largely be ruled out. It is recommended to diagnose the fault as an internal device power supply failure.
